What microneedling with exosomes does
Microneedling uses a sterile, fine-needle device to create controlled micro-channels across the treatment area. The skin responds to these micro-injuries by initiating its natural repair process, which can support collagen and elastin production over time. Immediately after the needling pass, exosome serums are applied to the receptive skin surface as supportive topical care. Exosome products are not FDA-approved; at FORMA they are used conservatively as an adjunct to microneedling, never presented as an approved or indicated therapy. What microneedling can address, the depth used, and whether exosome serums are appropriate for you are determined at consultation.
Performed by Dr. Trentin, personally
At FORMA there is one physician and one standard. Dr. Caio Trentin, MD — trained in Internal Medicine and Aesthetic Medicine — performs the consultation, the microneedling pass, and the serum application himself. You are not handed off to a delegated injector. That continuity means the person assessing your skin is the same person treating it, and the same person guiding your aftercare.
Whether it suits you
Microneedling is considered for skin texture, tone, and the appearance of fine lines and certain scarring. Suitability depends on your skin type, history, current skin condition, and what you want to change. Some conditions and medications make microneedling inadvisable. Dr. Trentin reviews your history and examines your skin before recommending any plan. Candidacy and the number of sessions are individualized — there is no single protocol applied to everyone.
What to expect, start to finish
Your visit begins with a private consultation: Dr. Trentin reviews your medical and skin history, examines the area, and discusses what microneedling can and cannot do for you. If you proceed, the skin is cleansed and a topical numbing preparation is applied and given time to take effect. Dr. Trentin then performs the microneedling pass at the depth chosen for your skin, followed by application of exosome serums to the treated surface. The active treatment portion is typically brief. Mild redness and a warm, sensitive feeling are common immediately afterward. Before you leave, Dr. Trentin reviews your personalized aftercare and answers your questions. Any future sessions are spaced according to the plan set at consultation.
Aftercare
Skin is usually pink, warm, and sensitive for a short period after treatment — similar to mild sunburn — and these effects generally settle over the following day or days. General guidance is to keep the skin clean and gently hydrated, avoid heavy makeup and active or exfoliating products for a short window, protect the area from direct sun, and avoid intense heat and vigorous exercise immediately after. Your specific written aftercare instructions are provided to you after treatment and take precedence over any general guidance, because they are tailored to your skin and what was performed. If anything seems unusual as you heal, contact the practice.
